South Indian Outreach operates two schools which bring education to those who otherwise may receive none. Tilaknagar and Kumbarkoppal Grace Schools combined have over 800 students who come from India’s low income families. India does not have enough government-run schools. In such a situation the opportunity for extending hope through education is vast.
Our Model
 These schools are founded upon Christian principles and values; however, the laws of the country pose many obstacles. For instance, it is illegal to directly share Jesus in the schools. SIO non-persuasively includes prayer and religious school assemblies into the school routine. Additionally, SIO uses the relationships with the students and their families as an open door to invite them to other ministry opportunities. South Indian Outreach believes that providing an education built on the values of the Bible, is a tangible way to show Jesus everyday in everyway.Facilities
In 2006, several large donations made remodeling the schools possible. They are some of the cleanest and most maintained facilities you will see in the city. A computer lab is now in place on one of the campuses which provides training most students could only dream of.
Financial Support
Financial support is needed to meet some of the next goals for the campuses.
With the help of generous donors, South India Outreach is able to provide all the necessities for a fraction of the normal price. The tuition, uniform and supplies for one student are a mere $100US per year. While that cost is small it still represents nearly one month's wage for the poorest people.
